These Upgraded Waste Board Slats are a direct replacement for the factory boards on your Shapeoko 5 Pro 2' x 2' 2′× 4′ CNC. Each slat is crafted from 1″ ultralight MDF—giving you more surfacing life and improved rigidity compared to the stock ¾″ version.

With 60 or 120 M6 threaded inserts and eight 20 mm dog holes, this upgrade dramatically increases your clamping and positioning options. It’s the perfect foundation for makers who want reliable workholding, repeatable setups, and the freedom to fixture projects any way they need.

• Eight 20 mm Dog Holes — Compatible with standard 20 mm bench dogs (sold separately).

• Drop-In Replacement — No machine mods required; fits perfectly on your Shapeoko 5 Pro

• 6 or 12 Total Slats Included — Fully covers your bed area.

• Optional Versions Available — Choose between:

  • Standard Upgraded Version (With Threaded Inserts & Dog Holes)

  • Simplified Version (No Dog Holes or Inserts — 1″ MDF Upgrade Only.  Think of these as a direct replacement for the stock slats, only 1# thick.)

• Also Available in 2′×2′ Size — Perfect for smaller machines. (4′×4′ not available at this time.)

🪚 Installation Notes

Simply remove your factory slats and replace them with these upgraded boards.
After installation, run a light surfacing pass to ensure the entire waste board is perfectly flat.
(Dogs shown in photos are not included with either option but sold separately. Any standard 20 mm dog will fit.)
